How do you turn on water to outdoor shower?

We'd like to be able to use the hot water from this to wash dishes outside. But we don't know where the switch is. All I've read online is that there is a switch somewhere inside to turn the water off so it won't freeze in winter.

This is what ours looks like. Dh bought a connector for a garden hose. Now if we could get the water to come out, we'd have it made.

I had the same problem. The brass fitting in the photo is a quick disconnect for a special shower hose. It has an automatic shut off so when you disconnect hose the water shuts off. I don't know why you need that when the valves are right there. Any way the previous owner lost the proper hose so I removed the valve and now have water. Just unscrew it and stand back. :).
I seem to recall that it is a 1/2 " NPT so I think I went to hardware store and got a 1/2" Male NPT to garden hose fitting.
Another possibility is that someone may have bypassed or disconnected the pipes/hoses inside.

BTW, after fixing it, I have never used it. :p

I have never used the 'outside shower' fixture on my unit either and find it totally useless other than a PITA when winterizing/de-winterizing every year.

I removed the housing from the camper this spring thinking I could cap off the lines but given the location, accessing the water lines behind the housing that are PEX is near impossible...so just put it back together the way it came from the factory and will have to put up with the hassle twice a year. :-(

I've never used mine either. Fortunately winterizing is not a concern for me, so I've mostly forgotten I even have it.

Michigan Traveler, that's exactly the one I have that came with our X-160. I've used it a couple of times to rinse things off or a quick shower on a hunting trip. Never had a problem with it.
