We have sold our Fun Finder 214 WSD to a very nice couple who live not far from us. We haven't delivered it yet but their bank just paid off our loan this morning so the deal will be completed by this weekend.

As you can imagine, we are both happy and sad but ultimately, we made the decision to step back from this endevour and selling it is probably best for us in the "big picture". Like everything in life, there are pros and cons and we just have to accept them for what they are.

Giving up the FF will definitely put a crimp in our camping going forward but we'll manage. One aspect that won't be so easy to adjust to is simply sharing our Fun Finder anecdotes, trip reports and photos with you wonderful people here. I've greatly enjoyed our time here on this forum. I love small forums where I feel I can get to know people better than the giant forums where I'm overwhelmed with vast numbers of members. I'll miss you guys and gals most of all.

Congratulations (I guess) on selling your FF so quickly. Good luck with whatever you next adventures will be. You don't have to be a stranger, hopefully you'll continue to hang around the forum and chime in now and then.

Congratulations on the sale!!

You could always downsize to a smaller trailer . . . .

We are planning on doing 3 and 4 day trips locally to neighboring state's state parks etc and camping out of the back of the truck. We won't be camping in mid summer where A/C is a primary requirement. In a couple years when our finances are back in line and we are once again pulled to the nomadic lifestyle we will probably get a very small trailer just for the basic creature comforts. I'll post some pictures of our new arrangement when I get a chance to. It will still qualify as a "fun finder" since we will still be finding fun :D

Neil-
Hope you still check in from time to time. It was always great reading your posts and I was fascinated with your blogs/pics/videos. Good luck for the future.

Thank you Dan and Jamie for all the kind words and support. I've really enjoyed being a part of this tight little group and I'll probably check in and stick around for some time to come.

As Mel Fisher used to say .... "Today's the day" :D

The Heart of Gold has officially been transfered to the new owners and my very thorough "walk-thru" has been completed. The new owners, Kim & Jeff may likely show up here on the forum someday down the road here. They are a great couple, into hiking and kayaking but both still are working so they won't get out as much as Yoly and I did. As you can imagine, it's sad to see it go and yet also some relief knowing that it's one more thing I never have to worry and fret about again.

Here's the parting shot moments before leaving the house with it to deliver it.
