Morning,

I tend to complain a lot about stuff, but I was pleasantly surprised this morning when I got a call from Way Interglobal.

We brought our Fun Finder (used 2014) home on Friday and noticed on Saturday, that we could not find the remote for the EEDV003.

I had sent them an email on Saturday about trying to get a remote control. They called this morning to let me know that they had shipped me a replacement - FREE.

I hope the rest of the week goes as well.

Personally, I'm really disappointed in their perceived support. I clicked on the User Manual link and got a very crude scanned copy of a printed manual that is so bad it's illegible. So I clicked on the "CONTACT US" link to see if I could order a manual and it brings up a page saying "Unsupported". When a company publishes a manual that you can't discern any information from, it just indicates that they don't really care about their customers.

I would be glad to scan my manual (at a high resolution) and email it to you. I have the the exact same unit, and I'm looking at the manual.

I actually didn't realize it was bluetooth. Excited to see if I can hook up my iPod or iPad.

Yes, the manual available from their site wasn't the greatest, but I was able to use it to set up the system. I had to use a different email than the one on their "contact us" button, but the response was immediate once I got there.

Catchy tune on the youtube site.

Bluetooth works great listening to music from my android phone and surprisingly well as a speaker phone.

Neil & Yoly,

Be sure to post pictures or your youtube links.

Can't wait to see your adventures on the beach.

I usually don't get the You Tube channel updated until we get home and I can edit all the video ... depending on how good the Wi-Fi connection is at the RV park. I do update the blog quite frequently however so I'll be posting pictures almost every day. You can see all the links in our signature below.

For reference, we are using the new blog now .... neilandyoly.blogspot.com

Good luck and happy travels. Looking forward to reading about your adventures. BTW. I think you have an extra space in your new blog link above.

Hi Neil,

As usual, great pictures! Thanks for sharing.

I'm curious. Where do you get your sound tracks?

Regards,
Alan

Hey Alan,

As you probably know, You Tube has very strict policies when it comes to using other people's property such as music rights. I used to use music from my vinyl record collection but this is copyrighted material. That's not to say that it can't be used, but if you do, it gives the rights holder the right to sell advertising on your channel in return for using their material. Personally, I hate advertising and pop-up ads always blocking the screen and making you wait to view your video so I looked into what is called "royalty free music".

I ended up buying about 44 individual DVDs with themed background music. Each DVD comes with a pdf with the licensing rights to use that music. It can be relatively expensive but I purchased it from a company called Footage Firm when it was on sale.

I also use commercially available editing software to create the videos such as Sony, Corel and Pinnacle. Each version of the editing software comes with a small collection of royalty free muic that can be used also.

There are entities out there who know which channels have no advertising such as mine. They will claim that my music belongs to them and they will place an ad on my video. I have to submit a form challenging their claim and request that they remove their ad. They have 30 days to respond technically and they never respond since they know it's not their music so the ad is automatically deleted. It does give them 30 days of free advertisng on my channel however. Each week I have to go through the hassle of filing about 20 of these dispute forms. You Tube is very protective about copyright infrindgement but could care less about the rights of the legitimate channel owners :?
