Is it possible to lower the 189 FDS? I was looking at some sort of airbag suspension. Does anyone know if this can be done? Need to lower about 1-2" for storage.
Have your dealer look at repositioning your axle above the spring instead of below it. Of course he'll also need to check the clearance available in this new position.
Aximaze-
I would be interested in what you find out about over- versus under-slung axles on the newer Fun Finders. I am not certain as to why Cruiser made the decision to raise the trailer. I know it coincided with the shift from box tube frames to sturdier I-beams. Perhaps it is related to flush-floor slides where the floor slides over the tire tops??
I have a 189 FDS and there is no way it could ride lower. The tires on the streetside, "just do" kiss the floor of the trailer above when the suspension goes to full bump.
I've not seen that they touch on the curbside. I would suspect the streetside is a little heavier due to the slide with the fridge and dinette.
