Making ramp door a party deck

We love to prop the back ramp up on a couple of chairs to make it a party deck. Gives great extra height and added space to the TT. Would like to find a couple of stabilizer-like jacks that are adjustable that we could use, instead of the chairs. Any thoughts? Would prefer something that clamps on for security and doesn't scratch the ramp paintjob.

Watch it on those ramp doors any sort of moisture and they become dangerous. I slipped stepping up from the side of mine gashing my right leg open to the chin bone requiring 8 stiches. Did this about 3 weeks ago and the wound is slowly healing. I had walked through a puddle on pavement prior to stepping up onto the ramp.

This was not my first tumble on the ramp door. Its terrible with any moisture on it or your feet. Be careful on it.

Can't say I've seen anything like you are seeking. It's possible with a little thought, an adjustable height system could be welded up and carpet padding added.

My ramp is covered with grip tape. I've loaded the bikes in the rain more than once and can say that it is anything but slick.

I use a couple of these (similar) and put them under where the rubber bumpers are on the door. I usually have a 2x4 in the back of the truck that I will use if I need a couple of extra inches.

Last time out however, the distance to the ground with the door level was about 24" so I didn't have enough reach. It was a great spot to sit also, over looking the river.

This made me start thinking about using steel cable and turnbuckles to build a support from the frame to the door. I have a couple of friends that have this system on their TH.
