Hi. Just bought a 2007 fun finder x189fbs.
Need help. What are these brackets for?

Those are turnbuckles -- as you twist each end, the unit gets longer or shorter. I have seen them used for stabilizing slide-outs -- they support the end of the slide-out and keep it from wobbling.

If you don't have a slide-out, those things can also be used to stabilize cargo in the bed of your truck.

I have looked for pics of their use and have not seen their application.
Are they used outside and where would they be attached or inside.
Same question. Do you know of any application pics available.

I do have a slide out. But it works great and does not wobble.
In the out position it is very secure and stabile.

If you type in "rv slideout stabilizer" in Google Images, you will see photos of similar items actually in use. But none of the ones I have seen look exactly like the ones in your photo.

And that is great to hear that your slideout is stable!

I don't think they are slide stabilizers. Those tend to have a large flat plate on the ground end. It's hard to tell size from the pic, but if one end is spring loaded they might be for securing stuff in the fridge or a cupboard. Similar to these:

Perhaps to add support under the table when it is down and used as the dinette bed foundation??

Another idea. Lay them left and right on top of the slide or at floor level when driving to unload the Schwintek slide gears and assure yourself the slide will stay in and sealed?? Pretty sure the did not come with the TT new.

Just a point of clarification on the above statement regarding keeping the schwintek slides "in" while driving.
This system uses a pair of stepper motors to provide movement to the slide room. The slide will not move out ( or in ) until electrical power is applied to the stepper motors. This is one of the chief advantages of this type of electric motor. When it stops in a given position, and the controller cuts power to it, it won't turn. In this case, this keeps the room "in position".

This is why, if you have a fail mode where the room is "out" ( extended ), and cannot be retracted inward with the motors, you must manually disengage the motors ( the pinion gear ) from the rack in order to physically shove the room inward.
At that point, yes, you do have to lock the room in the closed position with something like a board, or potentially, the above mentioned widgits that are the subject of this thread.
I only point this out so that folks don't feel they have to add something to the schwintek system for normal operation/safe transport of the trailer.
