Negotiating on a new 2018 Fun Finder 25RS

Hey guys(I really mean guys and gals),

My wife Dawn and I are shopping for our first Travel Trailer and after two plus years of looking and researching we are close.

I found a new 2018 Fun Finder 25RS that looks like the ideal coach for us. I think the price I'm being offered is a good one and looking for any advice I can get.

I understand most of the RV industry quality is lacking and its industry wide short of high dollar producers like Airstream which I cannot afford. Is Cruiser RVs FunFinder no worse than the others in its category?

This new unit is available to me for $17,950.....Seems like a really good deal.

Fun Finder

I may be biased, but I think the Fun Finders are above average. Never had to take mine back to the dealer. Just make sure everything is in good working order before leaving the dealer's lot.

Our 2015 FF 210uds has not been back to the dealer yet either. We have used ours lots and nothing major. My brother sold his 28 foot Coachman as it was just falling apart. I was glad to not have those issues. Silverado

I think quality is a hit and miss for all manufactures. Best thing to do is make sure everything is working before you leave the dealer. Take your time while you check stuff out and if you find issues, get repairs done before you buy otherwise you will be at the mercy of their scheduling.

I've never been back to the selling dealer for anything although did call and ask a few questions after purchase.
The dealer maintenance foreman did an excellent job of going thru the unit and explaining all the features/functions and how everything worked and why. I do believe the unit was gone over with a fine comb for any mfg issues before I arrived to pick up my unit which was a special order from the factory in late winter/very early spring.

I've been more than pleased with it.

Love our Fun Finder, 21 foot 2017, in Canadian dollars we paid 32,000... has extras like large marble counter top, double sunk in sink, glass back splash above the stove, lots of storage space. I think the price of $18k is great grab it you won’t be sorry.

We have owned several campers over the years and I agree that the quality of the Fun Finder is head and shoulders above the rest.

I have a 2008 Fun Finder, purchased new. I found that the quality of the materials was amazing! Including things like three quarter inch plywood on the cabinets instead of chipboard. I had issues only with the way the windows were installed. They leaked, but because ours is undercover I didn't know it for many years. We are now living full-time in our camper so it gets a lot of use and is amazingly well built. We never had any issues besides the windows. I think they just had bad installers on that day or on that part of the assembly. Granted, my camper is 10 years old and I'm sure that nothing is the same at the factory. Our camper is also only 18 feet long, very basic and has no slide outs.

Oh, p.s. I believe Thor owns Fun Finder now and Thor is the manufacturer of Airstream. So I assume the quality will remain fairly high.

we have a 2006 t139. I have never even seen a newer fun finder or shadow cruiser, except in photos. no dealers around here. but our older, sort of "bottom of the line" T139 is built very well, especially compared to a lot of second owner trailers we looked at. as everyone says, it can be hit or miss, mostly because of the companies that manufacture the things they put into the units. and that is true of all RVs, except, like you said, airstream.

that said, I think the dealer is a pretty important part of the equation. a dealer who takes care of things can make a big difference in the buyer/owner experience. I'd think a place that has a good reputation for customer service is important.

Purchased a 2018 27IK, we love it, but it has a lot to poor workmanship. Very disappointed in the quality. However the dealer has assured me that they will fix it. Time will tell if this trailer is reliable or not. I truly believe it will be a good trailer, we'll see.
