New, Old Guy from Ga.

Just joined up, glad to find this forum, looks to be educational to a new owner of an older 2008 Fun Finder X160. I have contacted the manufacturer and even they don't still have the owners manuals specific to that model.
So, I feel answers to the many questions I will have can be answered here by the seasoned veterans. Thanks for allowing me in.

Welcome! The bad news is that you don't have the manuals. The good news is that they are mostly useless. The even better news is that for most sub-systems (fridge, a/c, etc.), they are available online. If not for your exact models of fridge and so forth, then for very similar units, so you can borrow the info.

What a beautifully maintained unit! I am envious that you have covered parking for it, right at your house. My poor trailer sits in the driveway under the harsh Calif. sun, year after year.

Is this your first RV? If so, ask lots of questions!! We were all newbies, once upon a time . . . .

Hint: Some units have a list of the make/model of the sub systems (frig, A/C, Furnace, etc. on a sticker inside one of the cabinets.

Not my first ever, but in 30 years

Not my first, had pop ups and a 84 Shasta a long time ago in a galaxy far away. Remarried 6 yr ago and in 70's ready to camp. We looked for 2 years to find one that fit the carport and landed this X Fun Camper, so far loving it.

The owners manuals are really generic and probably not very useful. For example the one I have in the section on the fridge says that it runs on 120V, 12V or propane depending on the model and tells you to refer to your refrigerator manual.

Since you've had trailers before there's not likely anything in there you don't already know. Best bet is to get the model numbers off your appliances and the manuals should be available on the internet or from someone on the forum.

I just noticed the front and back of the exterior are aluminum and the sides seem to be fiberglass is this normal, or rework by someone?

My guess would be that it's possibly been reworked at some time in the past. (I thought the 160's all had a front window IDK.)
But if it's a good job I wouldn't fret. Our little dude has had the entire roof decking, front inside wall and rear outside wall repaired. They actually used a better grade of material and the roof is much stronger.
