Just purchased a 2012 189 FDS. Pulling with 2012 5.7 Tundra 4x4 dbl cab anti-sway bars for trailer. n the process of installing 140w solar panel, breakers and controller, plan on posting process through pictures. I am finding these rigs are solid in some respects and really cheap in others. Appear to be haviong problems keeping A/C running on hot days trisp internal breaker or house break or gen set breaker, temps are about 105-111F, live in Chandler Az. But what the heck is an a/c for! If anyone has any ideas let me know, seems to run OK when it gets around 90-100. Stayed tuned for the solar panel posting, also converting to 6voltnseries batteries for longer dry camping life, current 12v drains in about 1-2 days and we are not using anything, one light and a quick daily shower, checked batt it is good..hence solar and 6v system.

Welcome to the "club" 8) Boondockers welcome!

Sounds like you may have an issue with your A/C...it shouldn't be kicking breakers, no matter what the outside temperature is. Our 210WBS didn't even bat an eyelash in El Centro last year when it was 118 degrees for days on end...of course after 3 days it was begging for mercy! At least you've got the warranty on it, but, I'd certainly have the dealer take a look at it; as long as it is covered by the warranty you might as well make sure it is right.

Solar is great. We installed 4-68 watt flexible panels to charge 4-deep cycle batteries. Added the solar charger and an inverter/charger that lets us run alternating current from the batteries. We can run the A/C for about 45 minutes-enough to cool off the interior of the camper.
