We are totally new to Rving and looking at buying our son's 2013 Funfinder 266kirb. Has anyone had any problem with this model? Really could use some help as he only used it 3 times. We will be doing full time and is it light enough to use a F150 3.5l Ford Truck

Thanks
Deb

Welcome the the forum. There are lots of nice people here and you can always get helpful answers to your questions. You can find out a lot about what your specific Ford truck can tow by going online. Be sure to inform yourself well about towing limits based on your truck's towing specifications (found on the door sticker) combined with the weight specs listed on the FunFinder's sticker. At 30 feet that is a lot of trailer to tow (and back up) for a first-timer. Please also read up on weight distribution hitches.
Educate yourself and take is slow. Good luck!

Deb --

I love RVing, but I would not jump into full timing without doing a series of long trips in preparation for full timing. Some folks love it. Others find that the novelty wears off and they miss having a home base. In any event, good luck, and be sure to ask lots of questions!

Deb, we sold our house in 1990 and traveled full time for eleven months in our first ever RV. It was a 32' Prairie Schooner Fifth wheel. We pulled it with. Ford F-350 turbocharged diesel. We never camped in it until we locked the house and left town. It can be done but the main thing is to match your tow vehicle with the trailer and do lots of homework regarding the ins and outs of the RV lifestyle. We loved every minute of it but knew we would be returning to the sedentary life with jobs again. We put our furniture in storage. In today's world there are many more people both young and old that want to do the same thing so there are many more resources than we had in 1990. JBFunfinder gave you good advice. What did you son pull the trailer with? Be safe.
