New to us

Hi! Lisa and Kevin (the other half) just purchased our awesome find of a 2008 Cruiser rv funfinderX 230ds and I sure wish we could have found it this spring as our weather is changing... . That is how long it has taken us to find what we wanted at the right price, and a truck to pull it. We do have our maiden voyage planned in 2 weeks with a bunch of camping friends!

I (Lisa) have camped my whole life and have 4 children who do too (girl/boy scouts and family wise) and 2 of my kids have their own campers. Kevin has camped with friends off and on throughout his life and his daughter and her husband purchased an older rv this spring.

So camping isn't new to us but camping with our funfinderX is! Cant wait to start all the memories with our kids and friends!!

Welcome and enjoy your ff! DH and I first camped when youngest was in grade school some 20 years ago, however, it was tent camping��. We bought our ff from his brother's widow and even though we don't get to use it as much as we liked, we do enjoy it! Perhaps when we are both retired we can move up to a somewhat larger one! We do take our grand kids (10 & at least once in the summer with us.

Thats great! I have 7 grandsons ranging in age from 13 to 1 and kevin has 1 grand daughter and yup we camp with the 4 who are closest to us and will with our new camper next summer even more! The other 4 grandkids are to far away but hopefully next summer can come camp too! Retirement is still 8 yrs away...but gonna give it "h e double toothpicks" before that time! Happy camping!

Congratulations and welcome to the forum. Are campgrounds still open in NE? Camping with friends is always fun.

yes camping is still going on in NE and many camp grounds/parks are having halloween trick or treating parties next weekend, but we are going to a remote out of the way boondocking lake with about 10 friends who also camp. Should be an adventure!

We had a ball our maiden voyage last month with 4 other couples. We went wine tasting, watched nebraska (lose but oh well we were camping!) Found out the heater works GREAT, even though we used our little fake fireplace to heat too, and had an awesome time for 4 days away and camping! Cant wait to do it again!!!
