Question, how often do you wash and polish your fiberglass skinned TT. I've had mine a used 2008 for approximately 5 years now. The shell is pretty sun bleached and only has a shine after I polish it.

I've read of people using Zep floor protector on their fiberglass RVs and TTs anyone use that type of product on their TT.

When I clean mine up I use New Finish synthetic polish, after a few coats it looks nice but if a lot of work.

Eagle, Ill give that stuff a try, I guess ill just have to polish her up again and try that product you mentioned. My gut feeling is not to use that liquid floor shine. I can see that stuff caking on and building up. When I was in the Army we used to spit shine our jump boots and with a cotton ball apply a coat of future floor sealant over the toe cap of the boot. Kept the shine for a while longer but made a mess of the boot over time.

We bought our 2015 FF210UDS in 2017 and the fiberglass front cap was already terribly, terribly faded. Tried Meguiars Fiberglass Oxidation Removal Kit and it worked....for a few months. (Could probably have used WD40.) This year I stumbled on a clear coat from KBS Coatings https://www.kbs-coatings.com/diamondfinish-clear.html. We cleaned, degreased and gently sanded the entire surface with lots of 600 grit sandpaper on a 5 inch round random orbital sander. Put on a couple coats of KBS's Diamond Clear Finish super high gloss (thinned 3 to 1 with xylene) using a high density foam roller, no less, because I don't have a gigantic paint spray booth or a spray gun. BAM! What a difference. I've still got to buff it out, but it is glossy, even glassy, and the chalky looking fade has disappeared. All for less than $250.

Some of the rat-rod and pickup guys use that to preserve patina of old trucks and cars.

APD - Interesting that you should mention "preserving the patina" of old stuff. I needed a sacrificial subject to test thinned clear coat on. I'm thinking now that the rest of my poor old wheelbarrow will be gone long before the lining.

That's cool Jim! Hey get a chrome wheel for it, some tassels for the handlebars and enter it in the "Show Barrel" contest....:D

I wonder how will it would work on a fiberglass boat to keep the brown stain and green scum from sticking to the hull?/

Jim, just to ask: Did you sand the FF decal as well as the ends of the two stripes? I would have thought that 600 grit might ruin them.

It sure looks great!

Was careful to only lightly scuff the decals for adhesion. It definitely sealed their edges, and hopefully will preserve them too. I'm quite impressed with how hard it feels after several weeks of curing. It should take stone hits very well.

I wax my entire trailer including the fiberglass front with Nufinish.
I use that also, it just won't remove some of the previous owners waxing attempt utoh's. I am reluctant to se an orbital myself after seeing their mistakes that are now permanent.

I'm using Protect All 55064. This product can restore the color and shine of old RVs. Furthermore, it is both flexible and versatile as I had little to no problem using this wax on different vehicles, such as cars, trucks, and boats.

I was just wondering if you did a wet or dry sand?

After degreasing and dewaxing, I dry sanded it with just enough pressure to create a haze. Having sanded many wood projects, it can be hard to resist the urge to lean on it and get quick results. But we're just looking for adhesion, not exposed fiberglass. LOL

Poly glow has anyone heard of it or used it.. My buddy just did it on the front of his trailer and it restored it to brand new brilliance.. It's a three step process of a powder cleanser a poly prep and a poly glow.. My travel trailer looks worse than the one that is pictured show me to try it on it and see how it does .. I will try to post before and after pictures wish me luck.
I found the kit on Amazon it's about 100 bucks but worth it.
