Problems with fuse to battery

Hello, I am new and was hoping someone could help point me in a direction to figure out what is going on with my fuse going to my battery. I keep blowing my fuse to my battery when I am dry camping and using my generator to charge the trailer. The fuse gets really hot to the touch. We use to be able to run a day or two then charge and run another day or two.
We can operate everything while the generator is on so it seems fine there, just the charging part seems to be having an issue. Also, the batteries are only about 3 years old. Thanks for any help.

I assume being hooked to shore power would give the same results.
Might check the voltage from the on board converter/charger to the battery while on the generator. It may be defective.
If you are not a DIYer get it to someone who can track it down.

Do you have electric brakes? If so, check to see if the pin is still attached to the trailer. If not, the brakes will continue drawing power locking it up, draining your batteries, and causing heat issues resulting in failed fuses.

To the new RV guy with fuse problems. Some states require a Breakaway Switch.
This switch will stop an RV from rolling away should it be detached from the tow vehicle while towing. It's located in the front of the trailer with wires running from it to the battery and the brakes of an RV.
There should be a pin inserted in the box (about the size of a match box). it stop the breaking aciton. If it isn't pinned, then whenever you charge up your batteries, this thing will draw I suppose 500 Watts (250 Watts each) each time, which will discharge your batteries pretty quick. Any appliances you use will only mitigate the problem by overheating the fuses. It was a real problem for me too.
