On the first trip with our new trailer last year, The skids at the rear of the trailer wore half through while exiting the ferry ramp. Backing into my sister in law's drive way finished them off. I have seen similar light, ineffective, looks good, skids on other makes of trailer.
This could be expensive as the black water tank, stabilizer jacks and dump valves could be damaged.
The solution was simple. I clamped 6" heavy duty casters to the frame on each side at the rear. This fix cost less than $40.00 and is easily done
by any one handy with a bit metal, a drill and 8 bolts.
