Hie... Pierre here... I'm a newbie..

Just bought a 2007 FF 189 FBR... the exterior is a bit faded and weathered... what materials are the sides and roof made of. What product should I use to refinish / paint the sides and roof? What is a good roof sealant for that type of trailer..?

Much appreciated folks .. all the tips and tricks are very welcome.

If it's the same as my 2009, the sides are gelcoat fiberglass with a luan wood backing. Any marine fiberglass cleaner/restorer should work. West Marine is a good source. The roof is probably TPO vinyl. Cleaners are available specifically designed for cleaning RV roofs. While you're at it, check for any gaps in the caulking around the seams and reseal with a self leveling sealer like Dicor.

I don't think you can paint the roof. There are after-market products like Rhino that can be applied -- they are not cheap, but the reviews are good. I would not do that until it is absolutely necessary, though.
