I am curious as I have a new 2014 Fun Finder 244RBS. However on electric it would appear that my frig does not get as cold as my old motorhome. Its a Dometic but does not have a dial to turn down. What it does have is a probe in the fins? Does anyone have any suggestions? Perhaps a battery operated fan to circulate air?

The probe

That probe is called a thermistor -- they say that if you move it up, toward the top of the fridge, the fridge gets colder. You would have to experiment with a thermometer to see if this is true.

And the fridges in both of my Fun Finders have always worked much better on propane than on electricity -- don't know why.

Check element performance

We reckon our Dometic fridge runs better now on 12 volts than propane.

We installed a 280watt 12 volt element but wound the 12 volt converter up to around 14.5 volts to get about 13.7 volts at the element so it would produce 325 watts.

Suggest measure the voltage at element and amps its drawing to check the element is producing 325 watts as per Dometics specs.
Have a listen to this:

We have also installed computer fans in the back to aid cooling, we felt a fan inside the fridge was little benefit.

Inside directly above the fridge that void we measured at 55 C.
Still to do: Try to cut the panel beside the left top of the fridge then try and remove the thin ply above the front of the fridge, then
1/ Install a baffle to prevent hot air from the furnance getting there and try and push more insulation down the sides and top.

I have a 110/220V to DC 12V/24V 360W LED Strip Light Switch Power Supply Driver.

The 12V output voltage is adjustable in the above units.

The 12V element / fridge also can be powered by:
Mains supply 110V / 240V thru the ABOVE 12V converter.
The trucks alternator when towing
The 12V solar system 400 WATT Solar panels / 400ah batteries as a standby if ever needed.... only when sun is shining.
As well as propane.

I am very confused now - I thought all the 2014 Fun Finders had Atwood helium reefers? (I just today ordered a 2014 189FDS)

Also, I do not not see the 244RBS on the CruiserRV website...
