Greetings All - getting ready for the 2018 summer road/camping trip. Phase one is a cross-country trip from TN to OR. Some camping on the coast and then up in to Canada. So-hope I see some fellow fun finders on the road. If you see me first-stop in and say hello!

Maybe up in to Banff National Park. Prince George? Still working the details. Any suggestions?

Banff is a great area, Also the Kotenay Area is our favorite and it is South West of Banff Alberta into British Columbia- Nakusp, Nelson, New Denver, Silverton, Castlegar, Ainsworth Hot Springs just to name a few places as there is a hot spring loop in that area that is awesome. We usually come from Banff to Lake Louise to Golden then to Revelstoke BC. and take Hwy 23 South and cross on the free ferry at Shelter Bay and make our way South. You could come from the South as well through Washington or Idaho and go North. Hope this makes sense to you. If not ask and we will try to answer.

We're in the early stages of planning a trip to Portland! (We have grandbabies there we haven't seen it a while.) :)
We haven't done very much planning yet but now that we're back from Florida for the year planning will begin in earnest. We have a trip to eastern TN and North GA to do and then the summer is ours. We're thinking maybe late June or early July.
Be careful, have fun!
Please post info from your trip.

Profdant139 and Silverado - haven't figured out the route or itinerary yet. Trying to keep it flexible. Looking forward to it for sure. Will reach out as questions start to pop up. Thanks!

How much of the Oregon Coast are you planning to see? The state parks on the coast are pretty good. I would suggest reservations asap. It is particularly difficult to find weekend campsites, lots of visitors.

Current plans are thinking about going up from Oregon to Port Angeles and take the ferry over to Victoria Island, drive up to Port Hardy then take the ferry on up to Prince Rupert. Then do the area around PR and up to Hader, down to Smithers and up to Fort St James working on over to the Jasper area down the Icefields parkway and then over to Drumheller.

Oregon is a blast - quite familiar with many of the southern areas and the coastline as well. You're right some of them fill up fast. But many of the forest sites save sites for drive ins.
