I want to reseal my roof on my 2006 13' fun finder. I like how the description of EternaBond tape seemed to work....question is??

How do I know which roof type I have and if it will work???

Also, can I put clean the existing self-leveling caulk/sealant with soap and water and put this tape of it????

Any suggestion or help would be great.

Search YouTube for a really great Eternabond demo video...it'll show them applying the tape.

Thanks for this information, I just watched the videos and this stuff looks perfect to fix RV roofs...

BUT...does it matter which product I get. I am concerned about the roof material and if it is compatable?

Also, can I ask...when you did your re-seal/repair did you just clean it with soap and water, or did you use their cleaner on the old sealant??

Thanks again for this link and information....

I have a 2008 189FBR. The roof type on that is TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin). There should be a manual on it in the paperwork that came with the trailer. If you don't have that, e-mail or call Cruiser RV. I do it all the time and they get back to me within a day or two. The existing caulk will be difficult to remove fully, you may need a solvent. good luck.

Resealed my roof with Eternabond

I have a 2008 FF 189FBS and although I have no signs of any water leaks anywhere I went ahead and ordered a 50' roll of the 4" Eternabond Roof Sealeant.
Per their instructions and after watching the youtube videos I installed the tape over the existing sealant after cleaning the roof and sealant with acetone. (Caution don't inhale to much of this stuff when on your trailer roof unless you can fly)
The tape went down easily and formed a very tight bond with virgin roof on every joint. It did take some time and creative work with a exacto knife to get a good fit around all the odd shaped fixtures on the roof but I was very satisfied with the result.
