rotating antenna?

in my 139 x i have the mod 500 model antenna. the antenna does not rotate at all so as to pick up or tune in stations. i called the vendor and they could not tell me why its not rotating. i pulled down the plastic handle but it feels like its frozen, won't budge to the left or right. there is a round hex nut on the upper unit (up on the roof), is that able to turn using a wrench to help rotate the antenna?. don't want to do something to start a water leak. ugh.

From your description I'm guessing that nut you're referring to is the other end of the worm shaft that raises/lowers the antenna.

To rotate it you should pull down on the round 'plate' that sits flush with the ceiling and rotate that. Can you pull that plate down?

i can pull the plate down about 1/4 tp 1/2" but not able to turn the plale to the left or right

Sounds like something may be jammed in there or else broken preventing the housing from rotating. There's a repair guide on their website under the support heading. Looks like you're going to have to start disassembing it to find out why it won't turn.
