Does anyone have a setup/tear-down checklist they would be willing to share? We just purchased a Shadow Cruiser 280QBS and are about to take it out for the first time. This is our first big camper, upgraded from a pop-up. We were going to create a checklist but, thought we would check to see if someone else had one first.

Thanks!

Jason

Congratulations Jason. We did the same thing in April. Traded in the pop-up and got the Shadow Cruiser 285RLS. Pretty similar. You will develop your own list as you go thru setup eventually and then before long it will become second nature. One of the most important tips I can pass along is Before you unhook from the truck ALWAYS make sure your wheels are chalked. Campgrounds are not always level and these trailers will get away from you if given the chance.
Good luck and have fun.

Hi alan2544, How about posting the list for us new owners and let us take what will help us and maybe some up with some other suggestion? Share the wealth with newbees to camping.

Hey Alan thanks for emailing me the check list looks Great.

Thanks for sharing. Have a Great Day 8)

Camping Check List

Rus LWt 001 is right...the number 1 rule in camping with anything other than a tent is don't forget to chalk the wheels before you take the camper off the hitch!!. We were in Stone Mountain Campground (Atlanta, GA) one time with an Aliner pop-up and were so excited to be camping that we totally lost our minds and forgot to block the wheels!! Took the camper off the hitch and it started rolling toward the lake!! Luckily it only rolled a couple of feet, but it scared us to death. Live and learn--that is emblazed in our heads now, and after that, I did make a check list--a couple of them; one for pre-travel/set-up, grocery list, and camper list. Great to have, although a lot of stuff we keep in the camper, except groceries. I would share my list too...just email me at casadelydia@yahoo.com

Trailer Check List

Hi Guys,

If you go to Youtube and type in "trailer hook up" there are dozens of how to videos on this subject. There are also, other related videos related to trailers, and 5th wheels from backing them up to how to properly hook up your sewer system.

I use to send out my check list, but due to liability concerns, I've stopped doing that.

Regards,
Alan

Isn't it a very sad thing when one attempts to help another these days, one is open to a crooked lawyer cleaning you out.
