Shocked by our FF original msrp

Shocking to me as well, but I don't know... that price was BEFORE the Big Crash in 2009.... when people were loaned tons and tons of money by the banks, even if they didn't really have the capacity to withstand any financial fluctuations :-(

The previous owners of our 2010 FBR paid $14,399 for it new. We paid $7,400 for it six years later. Depending on where you are, you could pay way more or way less. Probably in NY or CA, its marked up 20-30% just because it is on the east and west coasts where the rich people live.:). Also in the rust belt, we are closer to the manufacturer, so that probably gives us somewhat of a price break. I guess if they were made in China or Mexico, they would be $7000 new, but they're not.

Theres a big markdown on list price on rv's.

I bought a 2007 189fbs in march 2008 for $11,000

A tree fell on it feb 2016 insurance paid up $10,000 -$500 deductible = $9,500

Bought a new 2017 keystone sumerland 1750rd in may 2016 for $11,500
List price was $17,800

With just a little wheelin' dealin' one should get a 25 - 35 percent OFF list price.

You got a deal. We paid $6900 in Jan 2016 for our 2008. Out west and in the south they probably get more use out of their trailers compared to in the north.

I definitely saw significantly less expensive ones in other parts of the country. For example, in California, before we got our 2011 x139 (in truly like new condition), we looked at a 2012 x139 in La Mesa -- it was missing the mattress in the bunk and the TV (not really a big deal) and it had considerably more "wear" and the dealer would NOT bargain below $12K (he was asking $12,500).

Nadine, don't keep us in suspense -- post a brief trip report on your Dockweiler experience! Maybe start a new thread?? ;)

And the reason that they would not bargain on the X139 is that they are now scarce, since Fun Finder stopped making them.
