Slide not working correctly

I have worked for countless hours narrowing down my slide problem. Cruiser RV by the way was VERY HELPFUL. It seems to be one of two issues. Either I have a bad motor or the wiring to the motor is bad. I can “over ride” the controller and the slide goes in and out “normally”. I was told I can do this indefinitely. I’m inclined to do this as replacing the motor is not easy and finding a wiring problem is not in my area of comfort. Anyone had similar problems.
