Slide problem

We parked our new (2015) FF 266KIRB in the driveway for the last 3 days just before we were going to store it. When I put the large slide in (couch and dining room table side), it goes in with no problem. When I try the small slide (fridge and stove), only half tries to go in. The other side won't budge. The service department said I needed to let the battery charge for awhile since I'm plugged into electric. Sounds a bit strange to me but I'm going to try it. It seems like the motor on the right side of the slide is froze up. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Forry

I printed out the trouble shooting pages from the website. It said to go to the main box and override the slide motor. Unfortunately I have looked everywhere for the main box and nothing. I've called the service dept at the dealership and waiting for their return call to let me know where its at. I sure hope this is not a sign of things to come!

Not really. I've always said that if you need to know something, Google it or Youtube it. I found what I needed on Youtube. The slide controller box indicated there was a short in the wire going to the motor. I used the overload method and the slide worked. Obviously I will need to take it back to the dealership fairly soon. That 3 hr drive is a bummer. This is the reason I didn't want to buy a TT that far away. Unfortunately they had the perfect floor plan for us and we could't find one anywhere closer. Oh well, I've read all kinds of problems with new and used TT so this isn't something I didn't expect.

I'll ask them but I think I need to use them. I have an additional 5 year warranty on most everything in the TT. With that one I have a $50 deductible using them and $100 deductible for using a different dealer. I really want to hold these guys feet to the fire.

If you have 3 hr drive to your dealer I'd triple check everything to make sure it's working so that you can add any other problems to list while your there.

LJAZ - I totally agree. I will get around this problem until there are a couple others and then make the trip.
