socket size for wheel nuts

I have the 230DS with tandem axels, and it has 1/2"-20 lug nuts that require a 3/4" socket. WARNING!! Only use a 6 sided socket, preferably an impact grade socket to remove the lug nuts. Also, the lug nuts are Jacketed, the nut is actually 11/16" with a metal Jacket, and if you use a 12 point socket you can round the jacket up pretty good. Last night, while trying to remove the tires to get them replaced, I did indeed, do that very thing and had to chizzel the jacket off, then hammer an 11/16" socket onto the nut and breack that loose. In the process I broke 2 sockets and bruised my nuckles pretty bad. I grabbed the first 3/4 socket I saw, it was a 12 point, and the rest is history. Today I am buying 4 sets of 1/2-20 connical lug nuts to replace the ones from the factory.

Wheel Nuts

Thx Alan,

I found out the size, went and bought a 3/4' socket. Now will have to check and determine if it will work after your input. I was also going to buy a torque wrench, but the RV guys told me just to reef real good on the wrench when tightening to ensure no loose ones.
