I just spent a few hours un-winterizing and prepping my 282BHS for the upcoming season. While getting water back into all the lines I noticed a leak behind the toilet. The valve for the fresh water has a leak... more like leaks as water came from a couple spots, despite my best attempt to winterize.
I can get the new valve off amazon no problem. My question is when I took it off the old hose from the valve to the top of the toilet is a hard plastic type and the clamps are pinched on. It seems the way they installed at the factory was with heat, I had to cut with a knife to get it off the valve. I didnt want to break anything else. Would it be OK to replace that hose and use normal hose clamps from Lowes as long as it can handle the pressure?
It's a Dometic 300 series
Thanks!
