Toilet Valve Leak

I just spent a few hours un-winterizing and prepping my 282BHS for the upcoming season. While getting water back into all the lines I noticed a leak behind the toilet. The valve for the fresh water has a leak... more like leaks as water came from a couple spots, despite my best attempt to winterize.

I can get the new valve off amazon no problem. My question is when I took it off the old hose from the valve to the top of the toilet is a hard plastic type and the clamps are pinched on. It seems the way they installed at the factory was with heat, I had to cut with a knife to get it off the valve. I didnt want to break anything else. Would it be OK to replace that hose and use normal hose clamps from Lowes as long as it can handle the pressure?

It's a Dometic 300 series

Thanks!

Depends on type of water supply line

So-if the water supply line is a soft, hose type line, it may be okay to try to reconnect with simple "worm-type" hose clamps.
BUT -
If the water supply line is the "hard" PEX tubing, those regular hose clamps probably won't compress enough to keep the fitting secured.
Lowes does have the PEX connectors. The crimp type require a special tool to crimp and lock the connector in place. There are also some compression connectors that might do the trick.
Hope that provides some useful information.

The hard plastic tubing that was there I had to cut it off. I looked as though it was heated on to it. It would not pull off either end. I was going to replace the tubing/hose as well with something rubber that can handle the pressure.

no, it is a dometic. I got the new valve in yesterday. I have to get to the hardware store and will put it in this weekend. I hope she holds, we go out April 1st for 4 days

Good! Have fun! We're working on ours but scared to de-winterize it this soon. A few nice days have us champing at the bit. We put drawers in our wardrobe, cleaned up the stainless steel sink and appliances, installed Smart Tiles in the kitchen area and installed a new faucet.

Replaced the valve with a hose and clamps from Lowes, worked good, no leaks with the pump on like before. However, the new valve body itself leaks worse than the old one when I flush. Good thing I don't camp for 2 weeks still. I've read these valves are problematic and some have had to replace them yearly....
