I'm driving with plenty of power and stop in a 2018 Expedition EL, sway and weight distribution for a tiny 13' Cruiser. Beleive it or not, sometimes the smaller ones are harder to keep on the road than the longer ones!! But I've done tons of towing of all sorts so I had the equipment anyway. So here's the question: the Cruiser 13' has no bumper, therefore no hitch. I'm beginning to think it's because they're so light that adding two bikes and a rack or kayaks and a rack in the rear would really change things for this mini RV. However the spare is mounted on the rear, two propane tanks on the hitch nose. I could easily put the spare on the roof of the vehicle, and then mount a rack in the rear. I'd have to weld on a bumper though. The other idea is to weld onto the spare tire bracket however is that strong enough? I HAS to be mounted to the frame for safety reasons but is it enough?? So how would you recommend, and where, to carry a couple of bikes? If I had a truck I'd mount them in the bed.
