Torquing Lug Nuts

I have 2009 FunFinder, X189FBS. I recently re-packed the wheels and don't know what the torque should be o the lug nuts. The wheels are 14" aluminum.

hmm... for some reason 60 ft/lbs comes to mind... I will need to double check that, though.

On my 14 inch aluminum wheels with 3/4 inch nuts, it is 110 foot pounds. That is what the manual says, and my service guy confirmed it. But maybe check with your dealer's service dept??

I don't know the particular specs on the 14" wheels but as a rule of thumb, from 100 - 120 Ft. Lbs works for nearly all 13" thru 17" wheels.

"Torquing
Lug nut torquing is expressed in foot-pounds. Use torque sticks with an air gun or a torque wrench to get the correct torque. If your studs or lug nuts are sized between 12 X 1.25mm to 1.5mm or are 7/16-inch, torque the nuts to 70 to 80 foot-lbs; 14 X 1.25mm to 1.5mm, to 85 or 90; 1/2=inch 75 to 85; and 9/16-inch 135 to 145.

It is based on the bolt size. Too much torque and you will snap the bolt right off...

But, yes, we need to consult a manufacturer spec.

Going by it, 80-90 is the maximum.

Of course, getting them all about the the same is probably as important...
