Trailer cover?

Hi all. I am think about buying a trailer cover for my ff 189FDS. Not sure if it's worth covering this excuse for a trailer. What kind or brand is a good one? Some must be better than others? Wheres the best place to buy? I would appreciate any comments or ideas. Thanks Salty

I've never used one myself, but from what I've read here and other forums, ADCO seems to be the most common manufacturer.

Lots of options for universal fit/custom fit/fabrics etc. Lots of places to buy too probably a wide range of prices from different internet outlets. I know Camping World sells them, but they tend to be one of the more expensive places.

I read that sunbrella is the best but it will cost a lot. Tyvek is ok, Plastic covers will fall apart after a few seasons. I made my own using a canvas drop cloth I bought from McMaster Carr. I just draped it over, folded and hand stiched like wraping a christmas present. Took about a day and it is really durable. Cost about $90. It keeps the sun off and helps prevent UV damage to the plastic parts.

Sunbrella probably is the best. I have a sunbrella cover for my boat that I bought after the canvas cover that came with died after 2 seasons. Arizona sun is brutal. The sunbrella cover is now 14 years old and just starting to show signs wear. Of course I do keep the boat in covered storage most of the year. It also isn't water proof, not sure it that's an issue or not, but FYI.

Salty, We just traded our Trailmanor for a FFX214WSD... Based on your lead statement, I hope we made the right decision! Did you get a lemon? But on the cover, we have used the ADCO Tyvek cover for two TTs, our popup that lasted 10 years, and our TM, that is 3yrs old and still in good shape ... except the spot where the snow thrower exhaust came too close to it! For the Pacific NW, this works well to let it 'breathe' and yet keeps the sun off. After about 6years, we noticed the material would begin to slowly break down from sun, but Kept the TT in great shape and because it breathes, no issues with any mildew as I've had using something watertight like plastic.

I've ordered from JC Whitney, RV Dept. in past, because they have been lowest price but also have a good price match/refund policy.
