Use RV toilet paper?

Funny - have always used charmin ultra soft or ultra strong. Don't care how fast it breaks down, or if it ever breaks down. I drain often as possible - and spend more time than I should rinsing the tank.
Five years of camping with the same rig and so far . . . so good.
The trick "they" say, is: never camp with the sewer hose drain in the open position. Always leave it closed. When you're ready to leave, or you get the full light on the monitor, add tons of water (especially if you connected to water, or about to fill the tanks, or don't want to tow with tanks full. . . )
All that extra water helps the momentum to flush those tanks out when you pull the handle to empty the black water.

We never have sewer hook up. But we don't empty the black tank before we leave for home either. We drive some letting it slosh around a bit, like a macerator. Then we stop at a Free State Park near home and empty and flush it out. I also put a cup of Calvin and a cup of Dawn in there occasionally. It acts as a degreaser and surfactant.
But I would never use the puffy stuff at home in our septic.

Good thread and interesting... I have always used the RV-Marine paper, and watch for sales... We use AngelSoft at home and I'll have to run some tests...

Plan on building a tank like James did? Lol!! He has also done one on the clear elbows that we all buy for black water.

When we bought the trailer it came with a couple rolls of 'RV TP' as part of a starter kit. It seemed like you had to use a lot more of it to get the same effect so what's the point. After that we started using the same stuff we buy for the house.

Haha! Maybe I will do a test with the 1000 sheets per roll
And a thicker type to see if we do use more. But comparing 1000 sh/roll to 2 ply Charmin tissue....
1000 sheets per roll-
$13.99 for 27 rolls on Amazon Prime
To----
Charmin - 308 sheets per roll 616 single)
$26.99 for 24 rolls on Amazon Prime

So, 1000 sheets wins costwise and probably by the amount used as well.
