Back in October, we put our XT200 Toy Hauler up for the winter. At the same time we had a death in the family that took up a lot of time, so I didn't have an opportunity to go through it from hitch to back bumper to make sure everything was set.

Over this past weekend, the temperature got up to a balmy 40°, and I took the opportunity to open her up, go inside, and check evertything out. Luckily, it all looks good! No mice, no leaks I can find, I'm happy.

Sadly though, I had to close it up again and as I write this it's about 10° and ice is covering everything. It seems like Spring is never going to come! Vermont is great in summer, but the winters are lonnnnnnnnng! I envy you folks in the South about now.

43 days until official spring. The birds are already chirping more up here in northern Michigan. Get in the road camping as soon as possible when the weather warms a bit. It will. You live in a beautiful state!

Never been to Vermont, closest is to D.C. ~ to many people and to much traffic.

We have a few days when temps broke into the very low 40's but the other night it was back down to -18 and daytime into the mid 20's.

It's going to stay cold for awhile yet .. and won't consider using the toy hauler until April at the earliest. And, FYI, I've seen snow on May 31st here....not much but a few white flakes drifting down.

;-I

Just had hernia surgery, as soon as I'm fit the wife are planning a trip to the west. No boonedocking this trip, going to get a site right on the coast. Hope next month I will be fit enough to do this. Looking forward to it. Mainly in the San Diago area.

I grew up in PA and NY and have been to Vermont many times. Great for skiing (usually) and snow is nice around the holidays when it seems festive. Then I moved to Arizona and haven't looked back. Supposed to be 80 here today.

I used to have to fly into Phoenix and Tuscon at least 4 times a year for business. Winter months were tolerable but totally hated going into the oven otherwise.

The summer heat is far worse than the winter cold IMO. "You can always put more on but there is only so much you can take off."

However, to each their own.

Which is why I winter here in Tucson, and come spring, go back home to missouri.
I love having wheels under my little 19' funfinder apartment condo

yep 75 degrees here right now.

All the damn robins were are pissing me off. Just did a seam reseal with Dicor and couldn't believe all the robin crap after just one day. Spring my ass, I want summer/tarpon season NOW!

ha ha .... down here in Tucson it's the stupid mourning doves. They are driving my dog to distraction. That has to be the stupidest bird known to the bird world.

They aren't far removed from pigeons - and they will build nests in the stupidest places. Seems like every there's one that builds a nest in one of the canales that gets blasted with the first monsoon storm.

Eagle if you fly in from somewhere where it's on 75 to 100+ here it will be shock. But if you're here year round it's more like boiling the frog, you hardly notice it! :p

LJAZ ~ I had all I wanted of the broiling heat and humidity back in the mid 60's in S.E.Asia. Didn't like it than and refuse to tolerate it today. :)

As for the doves.........not to many here as there is a hunting season for them and it keeps the population down. ;-)
