Water Filter - Where?

I downloaded the 2007 brochure for my FF 189FBS and one of the standard installed items is a water filter. It even shows it in the brochure picture, but I cannot find one anywhere. I would like it was under the sink, but nope, no filter.

I have a 2010 W210 that the water filter was found in a drawer just sitting there. There is no explanation in the owners manual as to where this filter goes. I have checked under the sinks and in the panel where the pump is and there is no filter located there. It also appears not to be compatible with any current screw on connectors that are in the system. Anybody know where this thing goes. I currently use an aftermarket one outside the RV between the inlet and hose.

We have a filter under the bathroom sink another question is how often do I need to replace it? This thing also looks like a real pain to replace,as it is really tight back there, so is there a trick to removing this? Is it a screw in type filter?

Easy enough, I change mine once a year ,as it has to be drained for winter.
I put the new one in(dry) and i'm good to go next season.
I split the line going to it to get the water out of the loop before the filter.
I also put a little vaseline on seal .

What is the procedure to remove the old filter?

Checked under the sink in bathroom and there is nothing there. Looks like they were having a bad day and tossed it in one of the drawers so inventory was spot on. For the guys that have it back there is it attached to the bathroom facet or some inline situation. Can you post a pic of how it looks installed.

Its only for city water.
Where the city water comes in it goes up to the filter assy.Theres also a one way vave that you shoud have even without the filter.

I have a 189fds 2012 the only filter I have is located under the bed where the water heater is mounted

Most of those manufacturer supplied filters are of dubious quality and are quite often difficult to change, mid-season, if required and can be a mess when you need to.

Mine was, also, in a drawer and I took it out and deposited in the circular file which is picked up weekly at the curb In my 210WBS, I set up a whole house filter assembly and while it did an excellent job at filtering all the water that I used (I filled my fresh tank with water run through it also), it, too, proved to be a hassle.

Fast forward to the current rig. I use one of those simple blue in-line KDF filters available everywhere to filter all the water coming into the rig. It takes out the big stuff and 90% of the little stuff along with a lot of bad tasting crud. Easy to change (I carry two spares) when needed as they can clog fairly quickly in some areas of the country and a clogged filter can seriously affect water flow, as they go between the hose and the trailer. I filter all the water that is used with it, even the tank flusher just to keep the big grit out of the "works". For drinking use, I have a Pur filter attached to the kitchen faucet. It filters all the stuff out; tastes just like bottled water. It, too, is easy to change and has an indicator to show when it needs changing. When we cook, when we want a glass of water, etc., it comes from the Pur filter.

IMHO, FunFinder (and Keystone) did me a favor by not installing the filter...there are much better alternatives available that are easier to service and do a better job.
