Which new trailer is most like the 139?

A lot of us seem to have old 139s, either T or X. My 2012 trailer is not going to last forever -- we use it very hard. Someday, I will have to get a new trailer.

But there seems to be nothing on the market that comes close to combining a compact floor plan with all the essential features -- good tanks, decent wet bath, etc.

So that is my question -- do you know of an alternative?? The Lance trailers are nice but too big and heavy. Same for Arctic Fox and Nash.

Your thoughts and Google skills would be appreciated!

Profdant, you have helped me in the past so much with all your wisdom and insight. Here is my 2 cents. Have you thought to go a little bit bigger to the 18.5 ft's ? We just downgraded from a 24 ft trailer to the compact 18.5 Shadowcruiser and the layout is fantastic. We have been looking for a while and the smaller newer trailers are not that great in layout, not to even talk about the price.
For us it had to have 2 axels , a big fridge/ freezer and had to be narrow at 7 ft wide to fit next to our house and it had to have a LOT of exterior storage. The 18.5 had all of that, plus it has the slide out that makes it very roomy. Only thing is, we dont have a walk around bed, we miss that a little bit LOL

Yeah, we may have to bite the bullet and get a bigger trailer. A dual axle sure would be nice, from a safety perspective -- a blowout on a single axle can be catastrophic.

I've found a few that do come close. I'll have to go find my "notes" to find them all. I think that taylor we talked about, the lil snoozy, and casita may come close. I like modern, but the "ultra modern" modular arrangement in some of the new small trailers are not appealing to me.

If we ever get another trailer, we would probably look for a lightly used jayco hummingbird. I like the front kitchen floorplan. I also like the dutchmen TaDa, but probably way too narrow.

I think a slide out adds nice width to the r-pod type trailers.

we are going to see how our n2u 4 runner tows the T139 before we even think about bigger.

Don't know about the X139 but we found the 2018 GeoPro 14FK is almost a copy of our T139FK. The general layout is very similar with the front kitchen and rear sleeping.

I've looked at that "in person". it seems quite narrow to me. the thing about the 139 that makes it hard to duplicate is the feel of the open area. I really don't know how it feels so much more open and wide than all the new campers that are out there. I did kind of like the rockwood rov. enough to consider trading in the fun finder--for a moment. how about the falcon. (campsite, I think?)

We looked at a lot of small campers before we literally stumbled upon the T139. my husband calls it the magic camper, because it feels so much bigger inside than it is.

Check out the trailers made by Taylor Coach. I saw ONE, Once, in Phoenix. they are close, but oh so pricey.

Well, I looked at the Geo Pro specs, and the black and gray tanks are each just 12 galllons. Pretty much a deal killer for us -- our X139 has 30 fresh, 25 gray, and 25 black. Twelve gallons of gray is about two days' worth, even with careful use of water. Not really suitable for boondocking.

I didn't actually notice the tank size. That would be a bummer even with full hook-ups.
One of the many little things that we like about our older model is the jalousie windows. They look old-fashioned but are great in the rain. All we have seen of the newer models have sliding windows.
