I'm surprised at how many people take their u-shaped dinette out of their rvs for something else. We got a X210uds because it had one. We had a 189fbs but didn't like the couch/ table configuration because it made it hard to play board games, and the booth set up in many units is not comfortable for watching TV. The u- shape dinette seems to work well for both. What do you think is the best setup and why?

I have a 2011 210wbs and it has the couch. To watch TV I like the couch as it is more comfortable and for those meals we have to eat inside due to weather the portable table is great. And if you do get a game I have two folding chairs. But to be honest the both of us spend as much time doing these things outside. To each there own. If I was to do another personal upgrade I would remove the couch for 2 wall hugger reclining chairs that could be slept in.

We have a 2015 210UDS and considered removing the dinette. Instead, I had the dinette cushions upgraded (much more comfortable to sit on) and use a folding table to set up the TV in front of the sink. We don't watch a great deal of TV and prefer the dinette table option for meals, when my wife wants to paint, and just hanging out. And similar to 'dustyone-FUN, we much rather be outside doing stuff.

We have an ‘07 x210. We modified the dinette arrangement by removing the table and rotating the bench seats so that both are attached to the curb-side wall, making one long bench seat. That freed up space between the kitchen counter and the bench seat! We still have the under seat storage. We generally eat, play board games, chat etc. on the campsite picnic table that we place under the awning area. If the weather is bad, we set up a couple of tray tables in front of the bench inside the camper. While we have the capability to set up and watch TV, we have only done so once or twice. Getting the extra space was the main motivation and outweighs any actual or potential inconvenience. The modification works well for us!
