I wanted to upgrade the stereo to one that will accommodate a thumb drive that I store my music on. So I bought a Jensen model JHD1630b, the install is simple. To pull out the old stereo I used the special little strip tools that come with the new stereo to release the side tabs that hold the stereo in place. I also had to remove the mounting bracket and replace it with the new one. The color coding on the wires of the old unit are the same as the new one and I disconnected only one wire at a time from the splice and inserted the same color new wire. The unit has a clock which stays on so I will be installing a seperate switch inside the adjacent cabinet so I can turn the stereo off completely when I don't want it to drain the battery
