Electric tongue jack fuse size?
I blew the fuse in my jack and cannot make out what size it was to replace it. I have a FF X230D 23' trailer.
Any experience with lifespan on these jacks? The trailer is a 2008.
Any advice on replacement should it come to that?
Thanks,
Jon

Blade fuses are all color coded.
For my xt 276, the color of the blade fuse is green = 30 amp.
Here is a chart:

I don't know what the average lifespan would be, however, like most electric items, they last until they don't work anymore.
Replacements can be found at Camping World, any RV parts company, and Ebay.
Just google electric RV tongue jack and lots of sources will be available.

The fuse in question is the inline glass fuse coming off the battery going to the jack itself.

Ok, that is the old style glass auto type fuse. The number should be stamped on the silver colored metal on the ends of the fuse.
If not readable .... ? Maybe try a 20 amp and see if it holds and if not, probably a 30 amp I 'would think' as the electric jack requires a fair amount of amperage to function.
An option would be, if possible, locate a name/model number on the jack and do an internet search for details.
Of note, this is the jack that came on my unit:

Inline glass fuse on our original A-frame jack was a 30 amp. Jack has since been replaced twice.
Finally discovered the best protection for this jack is to cut the top off of an old 3.78L vinegar container & place it over the top of the jack, then cover with an old lawn chair bag (we pretty much break at least a chair every other year). If you spray the canvas chair bag with an all protector (ie. tana shoe protector, etc) it will waterproof the bag also. Rain is the greatest enemy of these jacks.

It's 30 amp. Buy a replacement and go camping.
