Gig Harbor? Wow -- you are in Camping Heaven! The Olympics, Rainier, the North Cascades . . . . It takes us four days of driving to get to your neighborhood, and we have spent many happy months (in total) exploring that area. Is this your first RV?

Yes it's our first RV. The PNW is awesome for lots of outdoor fun. We had a sailboat for years and enjoyed the San Juans and Canada. Trying this RV thing for a year or so...btw it's worth the 4 days, Oregon is great to visit too, on your way!

Your first RV? You are in for a big treat -- we bought a small Fun Finder as an experiment ten years ago, and it has changed our lives. We are now on our second Fun Finder. Just like a boat, be sure to go on some short shakedown cruises before tackling a big trip.

The photo below was taken at Mt. Baker, an easy day's drive from your home -- we camped at Silver Fir, near Mt. Shuksan:

Wow! That is the first time I have used the new photo posting feature after Janet's redesign of the forum, and it came out great! Be sure to click on the "resize" bar to see the full image.

Also, be sure to ask us lots of questions about the Fun Finder and about trailering in general. We were all newbies once, and it is a pleasure to help other folks avoid some of the mistakes that we made.

Hello Nwfunfinder and welcome to the forum! We also hail from Washington (Lacey) and have to agree w/ profdant this is camping heaven with lots of variety to choose from. We started our adventures w/ an '07 189FBR and loved it. Then moved up 6 mos. ago to a newer 2013 189FDS and love it even more for the extra space provided by the slide. Hope you have many great adventures also. Maybe we'll see you out on the road! here's a photo from Bonapart Lake in N. central wa

Thanks Retelect, we really like the slide out feature and the permanent full queen. It's easy to tow too. Looking forward to our adventures...will look for you out there! Great pic too.

Smile Hello from Canada, Québec City

Hi, we are the owner of a Fun Finder 2016 until december 18. We are very exciting. It's our first Fun Finder, before we had a Laredo 30´ and before a Passport 24´.
I am sorry with my English, usualy we speak ( and write) French.
It will be a pleasure to read your comments.

Bienvenue! Your English is excellent -- much better than my French. Have you visited the Canadian Rockies? We have gone there several times -- it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth, I think.
