Red face New to us FF 223 RBS

New to forum and Fun Finder but not to camping. Previously owned Class a diesel, class c, two toy haulers and now a Fun Finder 223RBS. Just the wife and I. Like to boon dock but also decent camp grounds. Removed the uncomfortable to us dinette and installed electric theater seating and a 32 inch Roku TV.At the moment the TW is a Penske 16 ft box truck. Not too sexy but the most usable vehicle I have ever owned.

Electric theater seating and a 32 inch television?? This sounds like Heaven! Well done, and welcome to the club!

Thanks. My next mod is for the second battery and an inverter so I do not have to run the generator to watch that Roku. I did this on one of the toy haulers and it worked great. Now if I can just figure out how to stay awake when reclined and watching TV I will be golden. LOL

Welcome to the forum and you sound like you have a handle on things. The recliners and "Big Screen TV" sound great!!

Do you have pictures? We have a similar dinette and it really isn't very comfortable.

Please, tell me about this 'electric theater seating' you have?

OK I am attaching pics of the recliner seating and the 32 inch tv. I will try to post a pic of the dinette I removed. I tried everything I could think of to save the table as it extended out and was very well made. It just took up too much room. I now use a costco folding table that can be set up between the island and the recliners or taken outside. I am always on a budget so bought the reclining sofa used. It came in multiple sections so was easy to install. I took out the electric receptacle that was in the dinette seat and mounted it on the floor of the slide to plug the recliners into. Works great and so much more comfortable than the short dinette seats. (Sorry about the upside down photo)

Very interesting.

I am not pleased with the table & bench seating in my XT276. OK for a short sitting time but becomes very uncomfortable quickly.

Similar to what you removed with the exception the seating is on both sides and the back wall so sit 3/4 way around the table, held up with two pedestal columns.

Thanks for the pictures.

Great minds think alike!! We too took the dinette out of our 233 RBS...it was useless and uncomfortable. Went to Lazy-Boy and bought 2 leather recliners, then built a cabinet to take one of the original black sliding trays plus a little extra storage to put between them. What an improvement. Haven't gone for the TV upgrade yet...still prefer starlight and campfires.
