With all things RV, you pay a premium for something that you can with a similar product that is not targeted to the RV market. I have found that from time to time it would be nice to have a sun screen shade that attaches to my awning which will allow breeze through and provide more sun protection. When looking for such a product, one can expect to pay around $100 (depending on the size and shipping costs) to accomplish this:
Awning shade accessories from Camping World
I decided to solve my problem with a standard 6' x 10' landscape mesh tarp from eBay shipped to my door for around $20 and a $5 pack of awning hooks from Walmart:
Of course you can stake it in at the bottom as needed.
If you are looking for the same material in different sizes, colors, and shade densities you can get them at a ton of online landscaping stores. For example here is a site that sells 87% shade tarps in six different colors.

All-in-all the screen has worked out quite well. So well, in fact, that I am considering getting another screen and cutting it on an angle to fit the upper cross bar for the side of the awning when needed. After my shower curtain project, maybe I am getting too confident with my sewing machine skills!
There you have it.
