Default Bunk Modifications to 2008 189FBS

We don't use the bunk area in our 2008 FF 189FBS except for storage. There are two doors that give access to the area above the bunk, but they are small and make it hard to access all of the available space. In addition the area above the bunk is relatively shallow.

I would like to replace the fold up front of the bunk with a new facing and some sort of sliding panels or other doors that would give better access to the space. I am even thinking of widing the bunk by 6 inches so there is a little more storage available.

Has anyone made modifications to their bunk area? Pictures would be great!

Thanks for any ideas you can share!
