Default cold weather and the slide room

We are traveling to our trailer in southern arkansas and have a question on the slide room operation after it has been closed for two months and it will probably be cold. Should we run the heat to warm up the trailer before trying to open the slide room ? Should we just leave the slide room out for the rest of the time we are at this camp site?
thanks for your thoughts

I don't see any reason to warm it up first. I extend my slide when its cold and never have had a problem
