Default electric awning

OK so we were sitting by the camp fire chatting. I have an xt-245 and the awning goes out via push of a button. If for some reason this doesn't work is there a manual way to retrack it? I know other awnings have a rod of sorts that you manually can crank it but I do not see anything of this sort. Anyone have one of the automatic and know this answer by chance?

It is explained in your awning operators manual. In short there is sometging you disconnect on motor end and it'll go up by itself. I briefly read mine so I don't recall all the details. Seemed fairly simple as I recall. My 276 is power as well so I too was a bit concerned.

In Case Of Coach Power Failure Or To Manually
Close Awning:
Important: This procedure will require two people.
When this procedure has been performed, the awning
must be serviced by a Dometic Service Center or a
qualified service technician before using again.
1. Slide the pull strap (provided) into the utility slot of
the FRTA.
2. While one person is holding onto the pull strap,
remove the screw in the top of the right top casting.
The FRTA will immediately roll in once the
bolt is removed. Walk the awning to the closed
position.
3. Align hole where screw was removed and replace
screw into top casting to secure awning.

Thanks for the details. I picked my unit up used so I did not have some of the manuals. I figured I could always look up the manufacture web site for help. But as usual this site came through.

Thanks for the replies.

And from what I understand that twists and rips the wires out of the motor, which is why it has to be serviced. I so do not look forward to that happening at some point. I think I'll spend plenty of time tracking electrical problems before going that route.

My 2013 210 UDS came with a LCI Solera awning and looking at the manual in an emergency the only thing needed to retract is a 7/16" socket and a battery drill.

Thanks for sharing the info I am going to need to track down my paper work I suppose I am not seeing anything that would help retract it in an emergency.

This is where I found the manufacture info for mine. https://www.dropbox.com/s/73jwr1lts0...ng%20photo.JPG and the manual

If your awning is Dometic then runner421 post will apply.
