Default FF 160x heater only works on battery, not when plugged in

Hello everyone,
We have had our FunFinder X160 since buying it new in 2009. Lately the heater will not work at all when plugged in to electrical power, but works just fine when it is on battery power. Very weird! Thermostat looks good. Would it work on battery if a fuse was blown? We camped this last weekend at Lake Nacimiento, wasn't too cold, but I used one burner on the stove to heat the trailer. Did a pretty good job, but I want the heater back!

Dudefire, that seems very strange to me! Our FF and as far as I can remember all of the trailers we have had use the built-in Convertor to charge the batteries so there is only the one set of fuses in series with the lights, furnace, etc. I would use my voltmeter/multimeter to investigate what is happening.

Please don't heat with the stove burner. It produces carbon monoxide and the buildup of that odorless gas can kill you.

Does anything else that is 12 volt work on shore power?

We only turn on the stove for about 10 minutes, the trailer is so small, it heats up rapidly. Everything else seems to work fine on 12 volt

I found a replacement thermostat on eBay for $20, brand new. Took a chance and bought it. Installed it today (very easy) and now the heater works every time.
Thanks to all who answered this query
