Jensen Stereo turns itself on
Will come home and the stereo is on, can turn it off, no problem. Can't figure out what is causing it to turn itself on. Anyone have this issue? Siggestions for trouble shooting?

Ghosts or aliens are a possibility.

Mine used to do this. I think there is a timer in it that somehow gets randomly set. For a long time it did not do it anymore. Then here a few months ago it did it again. I never use mine anyway, so I took it out and unplugged the power wire from the back of the unit. When I get home from this trip, I'm taking it out, and building a cubby into that hole. The 'ol Jensen will go on the shelf in the garage to go with the trailer if I ever sell it.
PS, just pulling the fuse is not a good option because there are other things on that fuse.

I wonder if a timer accidentally got set? Kind of like a sleep timer? Maybe you can get a manual online for your model if you don't have one. Spooky!!

The timer has been set/bumped to on. Same happened to us until we figured out the cause.

I agree, the timer is set. Mine would sound the alarm (wake up alarm), found the timer was set

Had no idea they had a timer but never used the radio and only install the face plate if going to watch a DVD.

I was setting the clock to correct time and somehow the wake up beeper got set n in middle of night we heard the radio beeping.....handgun wasn't handy or else?????? Went thru menu n found timer and disabled it. Now use it for DVD player plus local radio....country of course! I have plans to replace it cause some of the knobs are sensative, a minor touch and volume will quit, same for balance. Not a quality unit.
