Default Safety handle install for shower

My wife would like me to install a safety handle in the shower. The ones for homes are typically 1 1/2 to 2 inch tubing and 6 to 18 inches long. Has anyone ever installed one in their RV shower? What problems did you have and how did you solve them? Thanks!

I've not done so but have a suggestion:
Install a mounting board to the studs in the camper for a secure, firm mounting 'plate' and then mount the hand rail to the mounting board.

I've heard the suction cup safety handles work quite well
