Default Help! Need a campsite in NJ

We're heading from VA to Maine this July and need a one-night campsite in southern NJ near the GSP or I-295. All suggestions appreciated. Even considering Walmart and truck stops. Parvin State Park is a possibility, but a little far off-route.

I live in NJ< about 35 miles West of NYC off Rt. 80. There are many campgrounds off the GSP south of about exit 100 or so. North of there it becomes one big city type area and there are NO campgrounds that I can think of unless you travel North and West. There is a Liberty RV Park by Liberty Park in Jersey City...along the Hudson River. After that there is Harriman State Park in NY state. I use a great County Park called Malhon Dickerson Reservation off Rt 15 in Jefferson, NJ, but it is really not near the GPS at all. Walmart is your best bet to keep near your route.

Default Short stay in NJ

Thanks for your recommendation. I'll check them out. Otherwise, I may stay overnight at the Camping World store just north of the Del Bridge.

Oh, I didn' t know you could stay overnight at a Camping World, is that the one in Lakewood, NJ? If so, that is a good idea because North of that becomes to congested.

Default NJ camping recommendation

This Camping World is in Swedesboro. Glad to hear there's one in Lakewood. I may go there. I read somewhere on their website that dry camping overnight stays are okay. I plan to call in advance to check security, etc.
