Thanks all for the good thoughts.

Praying gas prices will shrink in the next few months .. but prayer is all that's left for the American citizens.

I"ll be getting the camper out of winter storage within the next few weeks and prepping it along with hope and prayer.

I’m hopeful but not convinced that fuel prices will fall to any great degree in the near future i.e. this year’s camping season . I plan on getting our x210 out of the storage barn this coming weekend. That may or may not happen depending on how many others have retrieved their rigs. (Mine goes in early and gets “blocked in”).
Back to fuel prices, they did back down some a couple of weeks ago but creeped back up Easter weekend. Anticipating the continued upward climb, yesterday (Apr 26th) decided to fill the tank on my RAM 2500 Diesel (it still had over a 1/4 tank remaining). When the pump clicked off, I was shocked at the total price over $100 ($105) ! Granted, I have a 34 gallon tank but still, it wasn’t empty. I get ~ 19+ MPG when not towing and between 14 & 15 when pulling the camper. At the current price of $4.80/gal (US), that’s ~33 cents/mile when towing. Glad that we’ve got lots of nearby opportunities .

I track gas prices on gasbuddy.com and the map of the US here shows area prices all across the USA. You can zoom in on the map

Yup, I use GasBuddy too! Many times a very useful app. I frequently check out fuel prices in neighboring communities and many times there have been lower prices in some of those communities. With most of those places being ~20 miles distant (40 miles round trip), the price has to be significantly lower to make the trip to get fuel worthwhile. The only exception is if I’m heading in that direction for another reason.
