Default X189FBS & traveling in winter

The wife & I are both nurses and are going to be traveling this winter and plan to stay in our camper.
Does anyone have any tips for traveling/camping in winter time with our camper ?? We will possibly be staying in South Carolina,Virginia,Indiana and as a last resort Maryland. I say last resort for Maryland as the taxes are so bad up there. We are in West Virginia.
