2017 24bhs
After quite a bit of research we pulled the trigger on a 2017 Fun Finder 24BHS. We have 1, 3 and 5 year olds, we were tent campers up until now. This looks like a robust forum and the info was help in our evaluation. I don't expect perfection or smooth sailing, but we're pretty adventurous and handy so looking forward to new trips. Planning some small trips locally to get a feel once we take delivery. Hope to share and read about future adventures. We're in Northern California.

Congratulations! Starting them young! Enjoy.
I was looking for your model but only saw a North Trail 24BHS. No Fun Finder??

Yep - got us looking.
I see a Shadow Cruiser or SC-240BHS. Their is a FunFinder F-23BH as well.
I'm guessing with the prime numbers (1, 3, 5 year olds), you've got a bunk house model.
Happy camping! Now you'll have to let us know the model.

Those are lucky kids -- someday they will realize how lucky. We did not discover camping till our kids were grown, unfortunately.

Yes, it is the F23BH model with rear double bed bunks in the back. We went with the Fun Finder because it is appointed as a little nicer than the Shadow Cruizer (i.e. solid counter tops and a larger propane tanks). Looking forward to picking it up next weekend.

cksowder, there are some great tips on RV.net about how to do an inspection when you take delivery. If you are not an experienced RV er, it may also be helpful to video the walk-around -- the dealership will explain a lot of stuff in a very short period of time, and it is hard to take thorough notes while listening. Try to make sure they don't rush you through the process.
There will always be some things that you do not catch -- you can call them later to fill in the gaps, and you can ask us! In the bad old days before the internet, there was no easy way to gather info from experienced users -- now, thank goodness, there is.
Where in NorCal do you live? There is so much wonderful camping near you -- here in SoCal, we have to drive for many hours to get to prime territory.

We picked it up last Saturday - had a very thorough 2 hour walk thru, drove it home and enjoyed it in front of the house until Monday. Taking a short trip this weekend to begin to get used to it. Kids have picked out their bunks and the wife took a nap in it on Sunday. Looking forward to many trips in our future. I'll post a pic if I can figure out how to do it.

Your kids are going to love it... Big enough, but not too big... I can see Yellowstone in the future...
Have fun and enjoy the family and outdoors...
