Hello All!!!
Hello to all I am new to here but not to camping. I am in the process of buy my 3 travel trailer and have decided on a 2016 fun finder 281biks. I have been looking for any info about this model and haven't found much. I am wondering about build qaulity as well as over all quality and reliability. This will be my first new new camper. Any insite would be great thanks.

Hi & welcome! You probably won't find a lot about Funfinder because they're relatively small compared to some of the other manufacturers like Jayco or Forest River. Or were until Thor bought them. As far as quality they are probably comparable to most of the other trailer brands out there, no better or worse. My personal experience has been trouble free since I bought it brand new. But there's been some folks who've had issues.

Hi Kenny,
Welcome to the Forum...
I have an '08 XT-190 Xtra FF (By Cruiser)... It is almost 20' long, a tongue pull Toy-Hauler trailer... I think the trailer quality is about average for its class, i.e., not as good as I would like, but okay...
Sorry I can't help you much with the later model (Different Manufacturer now) or size... Good luck and I am sure someone on the thread can provide a little better info...
Good luck...

Fun Finder
Hi Kenny,
Welcome. I am a new-comer also. We bought a new 2015 214WSD last month.
This makes our fifth RV and third new one. I agree about the quality. One thing I have learned over the years is that the quality of the dealer is almost as important as the quality of the RV.
We are very happy with our Fun Finder and the dealer where we purchased.

Hi Charles,
Welcome to the Forum...
I agree with you about the dealer quality as well... I purchased my FF a couple years ago as a used trailer. The dealer I purchased it from was not a FF dealer, although he repaired trailers, campers, and RV's, and sold used rigs. He originally spent quite a while going over the trailer and how everything operated with me. Today, I spent several hours working on the bath vanity sink faucet and my bum knee made working under the sink all but impossible. Well, after trying to get the hoses loose from under the sink so I could replace the faucet assembly, I gave up and called Mike. Mike told me to bring the trailer up and they would replace the faucet for me... TOMORROW... That's why I like these guys, they do what they can to help their customers...
Good luck with your new rig and hope to see you at a fire ring sometime...

Good point about the dealer - they can make a huge difference in how satisfied you are with your trailer. Some dealers forget they know you as soon as drive off the lot. In that situation even minor issues become a lot more irritating.

I agree with everything everyone already said but especially about the dealer. They are the ones that stand between you and the various manufacturers of the items in your trailer...and there are a lot of those. So the question becomes how do you know what their reputation and level of competency is? Do they give good service after the sale in a timely manner? If you know anyone who has a new trailer you could ask them about their experience with their dealer. Check the BBB maybe for consumer complaints. But belonging to the BBB is voluntary for companies. Or ask the dealer for references maybe. Of course then you may only get the "happy campers". But anyway, the dealer is either your savior or your headache when you need them for issues on a new unit.
