Default Tips on using Quest brake controller?

We didn't get a manual and are looking for information on it's operation. The tech at the dealer said keep it set between 4 & 5 as my husband left their lot.

Perhaps you could do a google search of the make/model and find an owners manual on the internet ~ or contact the mfg and request one.

Hi Eagle. Yes, we have been cruising the net for information. No model number on it. The dealer said they will try to locate the manual and send it. I found some info on the Quest controllers on forums and printed it out for Paul to read. A couple of people said they had a hard time getting it adjusted so the trailer brakes didn't grab. Others gave them possible fixes. One guy said get rid of it and get a different brand. Such is life. Thanks.

I called the Company (Husky) and the pointed me in the right place to download information. When all else fails, go to the source. So thanks for the suggestion.

Me too. Off to boondock on Thursday for two nights. Delayed it a day due to rain forecast.

Well, at least when you have a travel trailer and are boondocking you can go somewhere in your tow vehicle to escape the weather. Not so easy in a big motor home.

So true, unless you tow an escape vehicle behind!

True. But then that complicates things more. Especially $$ wise.

Just saw a motor home towing a pickup with a golf cart in it's bed! Can you say " over-kill"?

I'm thinking maybe they were snowbirds coming back from Florida or avid golfers. Lol! Camping takes on new meanings nowadays, that's for sure.

Brake controller is working great now. No problems on the short trip we just returned from.

Yes, glad Eagle suggested contacting the manufacturer. No call back from the dealer who neglected to give us the paperwork with it.
